Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! As long as the trampoline frame measures 14 ft, it will be compatible.
The jumping mat is covered by a 3-year pro-rated warranty against manufacturing defects. As an industry standard Tears, Holes Creases, scuffs, and minor imperfections are not covered. A lifetime warranty only applies to our TDU retaining wall system when installed properly.
The LED light kit is not solar-powered. It requires a standard power source. You can either install an outdoor outlet near the trampoline or use an outdoor-rated extension cord, which many customers bury in a shallow conduit pipe to prevent tripping hazards. The kit emits a bright, under-trampoline glow that adds both safety and nighttime fun.
Yes! Our retaining wall system is compatible with many non-TDU trampoline models. It provides a solid, secure structure for in-ground installations. That said, TDU trampolines are specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly with our retaining wall, offering added strength, durability, and safety features that optimize the overall experience.
We offer a variety of in-ground trampolines:
1. 14-foot round trampoline – our most popular model.
2. 10x14 rectangular trampoline – ideal for gymnastics and athletic training.
3. 12x17 rectangular trampoline – our largest model, perfect for advanced tricks and families wanting maximum space.
All models feature our patented vented pads and a built-in retaining wall system.
A: Yes, our rectangular trampolines include the retaining wall system as part of the package.
We do not have authorized installers in all areas, but we recommend contacting local landscaping companies who often handle installations. We are happy to provide installation videos and guidance.

Yes! We offer free shipping on all trampoline systems and retaining wall systems. Replacement parts and accessories are often eligible for promotional free shipping—check our current offers for details.
The frame and springs are covered by a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Weather damage or rust is not covered.
For sandy soil, we recommend the 14 ft round trampoline or the Jr. Olympian (10x14) rectangular model for enhanced performance and stability.
Yes! We’ve seen rectangular trampolines installed end-to-end or side-by-side, and round trampolines set up side-by-side or in a “Mickey Mouse ears” configuration. It all depends on your layout and the number of jumpers.
A: Please let us know the size and shape of your trampoline. If you can provide photos, that also helps us match the correct parts for your system.
We strongly advise against in-ground installation without a retaining wall, as it can compromise structural integrity and safety over time. Our retaining wall system is engineered for long-term durability and includes a lifetime warranty.
Our safety nets are specifically designed to fit our TDU trampolines and are not compatible with other brands. They are engineered for in-ground use and provide a secure fit with our trampoline systems.

Measure your trampoline frame from outside edge to outside edge across the diameter. Then count the number of spring attachment points and measure a fully stretched spring from hook to hook. These details help us match you with the correct mat.
Measure the frame diameter and the width of your existing pad if available. Our safety pads are designed to fit standard trampoline sizes and cover both the springs and frame edge. If you’re unsure, just send us a photo!
Yes! Our vented pads are available in 12 ft, 14 ft, 15 ft, and 16 ft sizes to accommodate a variety of trampoline models. We know many users are looking to enhance their experience with better airflow and safety.
No, critters typically do not move in. They don’t like being disturbed, and our vented pad keeps the area quite tight. If you’re using our LED lights, it’s also not dark enough under the trampoline to be appealing for animals.
There are several drainage options depending on your soil and location. In most cases, native soil drains well. If moisture levels are higher, we recommend adding gravel, a French drain pipe, or in extreme cases, a sump pump.
Not necessarily! Many of our customers successfully complete installations themselves by following our step-by-step video guide. However, for those who prefer not to DIY, we suggest hiring a local landscaper or contractor for a professional install.
Sod is the most common surface, but artificial turf is becoming increasingly popular due to its clean look and low maintenance. Other options include playground rubber, soft fall ground cover, and rubber mulch—anything soft and free of sharp edges to prevent injuries or damage to the trampoline.
In summer, we strongly recommend treating the vinyl with marine-grade UV protectant. In winter, for best results, remove and store the components indoors. If that’s not possible, place a trampoline cover over the unit and gently clear snow with a broom or plastic shovel to avoid material damage.
Yes, we do! Just text us and we’ll provide you with a digital discount code.
No it does not. However, we recommend a well built trampoline, and suggest that you stay clear of a cheaper light weight trampoline. When putting a trampoline in the ground there is added stress on the frame, and therefore those with weaker frames tend to lose shape and have problems early on. We Manufacture the Only IN-GROUND Specific Trampoline in the Industry- we recommend you take a look at the VPS Trampoline by TDU Systems.
The TDU retaining wall system was designed to be able to accommodate any ROUND trampoline Size. The standard kit is 33 interlocking panels, for a 14ft. Trampoline. The kit comes with self tapping screws to mount the kit to your trampoline.
If you have a smaller or larger round trampoline, please specify when ordering as we can send you fewer or additional panels depending on the size. ** Our 14' kit works perfect with the 14' round trampolines. Our 12' kit has 29 panels and 15' kit has 36 panels. The 12' and 15' systems may require that you overlap the final panel instead of interlocking the final panel...this is typically due to varying manufacturer sizes. The overlapped panel can be secured with the provided screws, and once backfilled will function properly, and will not be noticeable. Due to the design of the interlocking system, it will not work for OCTAGON or RECTANGLE trampolines.
Depending on soil conditions, and the climate you live in we recommend a few tips that can help. If you have a very soft clay based soil, we recommend using some block or compactable road base below each of the four legs on your trampoline- this will help prevent the legs from sinking into the ground.
When installing the trampoline into the ground, an easy way to ensure the trampoline is level (if you do not have a laser level) Is getting a 12ft 2x4 and setting it at an angle across the top bar at each leg angle. Then place a Level on the 2x4 and adjust accordingly. Do this at 4 different angles around the trampoline to ensure it is properly level PRIOR to backfilling the inside of the trampoline.
It can be done with one person, but at least two people are recommended. The instructions show to raise the system up to the trampoline top ring, but it is easier (if you only have 1 or two people) to set up the trampoline frame, then the kit around the trampoline, then rather than raising the kit to the ring, remove two legs and drop the Trampoline top ring down to the level of the kit. Place a few screws then take off the other two legs and drop the Trampoline frame on that side and place a few screws. Then put the legs back in and set the remainder of the screws one per panel.
One of the most common concerns of putting a trampoline in the ground is losing bounce quality. There are a few factors that play into this theory.. 1st the quality of the trampoline. A cheaper trampoline, with a poor quality jumping mat, and lower spring size/ count will not bounce as good as a better built trampoline, and will be even more noticeable when placed in the ground with air not being able to escape. The 2nd factor is the airflow restriction: An above ground trampoline has very limited airflow restriction as the jumper bounces- when you place the Trampoline in the Ground- and enclose it with a retaining wall system- the forced air of a bounce, trys to come back up through the jumping mat and springs- which is where our PATENTED Vented safety comes into play- Our Pad increases airflow, and allows for a much more similar feel to an above ground trampoline- than a trampoline without a vented pad does.
The TDU retaining wall system was engineered and designed for its specific purpose. If installed correctly the TDU system will outlast your trampoline. We will replace any damaged panels within the first 10 years at no cost if it can be determined that the system was properly installed. (excluding damage from severe acts of nature)
The TDU VPS GEN2 Trampoline comes with an INDUSTRY LEADING 5 Year warranty on the frame and springs, and a 2 year warranty on the Jumping Mat and Vented Safety Pad. **Keep in mind all Trampoline Manufacturers will void your warranty if you put their product at Ground level- this is quite simply because of the Increased wear and tear and Added Exposure to ground Moisture, sprinklers, lawn maintenance, and foot traffic on and off. The Warranty includes any Manufacturers Defects, and TDU will review each case and has the option to either repair or replace the product based on the defect.
